Meet Dr. Wiston
I am a licensed clinical psychologist working with New York State residents. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, workplace thriving, and life transitions. I also have specific knowledge and interest in working with the LGBTQ+ community and have received advanced training in women’s mental health. I aim to meet my patients where they are at, and employ a warm, active, and collaborative approach in my work. I make it my mission to help my patients feel fully engaged in their lives.
I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Franklin and Marshall College and my master’s and doctoral degrees from La Salle University. I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, college counseling centers, and partial hospitalization programs. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at Cognitive Therapy for Women Psychological Services, and was most recently on staff there as a psychologist.
In addition to my clinical work, I have served as a dissertation committee member on a study assessing therapist competency working with transgender patients and volunteered as a peer counselor at an LGBT community center. In my free time, I enjoy reading, taking long walks, and exploring the diverse restaurant scene in NYC.
